The cards are sensitive to hot and cold temperatures. Is there any sign of a bend or crack? When was the last time it worked? How old is the badge? The creation date is printed on the back. Asking these questions will help determine if a replacement is required or to get a service request to have a technician investigate if it is a programming or hardware issue.
