What We Do

The N.C. Council for Women & Youth Involvement advises the governor, legislature, and state departments on issues that impact North Carolina's women and youth. The division also provides funding to domestic violence and sexual assault programs that provide critical services such as counseling, shelter, and advocacy for victims.

The Council for Women has existed in one form or another since 1963: the Youth Involvement office merged with the Council for Women in 2016
