Know a high school girl interested in public service and a future career in science, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics? The NC Department of Administration (NCDOA) is accepting applications for the summer Lady Cardinal Mentorship Program.

Beginning today, college students can apply for one of nearly 100 internship opportunities with North Carolina state government agencies.

This year, 17 North Carolina high school girls will participate in the Lady Cardinal Mentorship Program, a summer enrichment opportunity nurturing student interest in state government science, technology, engineering and mathematic career fields.

The NC Department of Administration’s State Youth Council and Youth Advisory Council recently awarded a total of $6,292 through the annual Mini Grant Program to 14 deserving North Carolina-based organizations.

Youth councils, local governments and private or non-profit agencies with ideas for innovative programs to help North Carolina’s teens can now apply for grants up to $500 through the State Youth Council’s Mini Grant program.
