NC Department of Administration's State Construction Office is responsible for the administration of planning, design, and construction of all state facilities, including the university and community college systems. The division also provides the architectural and engineering services necessary to carry out the Capital Improvement Program for all state institutions and agencies. We are currently looking for talented individuals to join our team.

  • Engineering/Architectural Supervisor: Electrical Engineer - Apply by 5 p.m. on Feb. 7, 2023
    This position will provide a written technical review and commentary on the Project Documents submitted by licensed architects and engineers under contract with the state.
  • Building Systems Engineer - Apply by 5 p.m. on Feb. 10, 2023
    This position will assess the condition of state-owned facilities, enter deficiency data and recommendations, and review and approve budget requests from state agencies and universities.
  • Architect II - Apply by 5 p.m. on Feb. 14, 2023
    This position will provide a written technical review and commentary on the Construction Documents submitted by licensed architects and engineers under contract with the State.
  • Capital Project Management Engineer/Architect III - Apply by 5 p.m. on Feb. 22, 2023
    This position is responsible for consultation, investigation, evaluation and planning, design, design review and approval, and/or determination of impacts of capital project work processes and products; provide project management and budget oversight which may include supervision of all staff levels. Position provides program/project leadership in planning and organizing the work of others. Position consults with senior level decision-makers on an on-going basis and may supervise/mentor staff.
  • Capital Project Management Engineer/Architect II - Apply by 5 p.m. on Feb. 22, 2023
    This position is responsible for consultation, investigation, evaluation and planning, design, design review and approval, and/or determination of impacts of capital project work processes and products; provide project management and budget oversight. Position provides consultation on issues and requests from clients and/or higher-level professionals to discuss alternative solutions and may supervise/mentor staff.
