Keys may be checked out from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the vehicles located at the SSP warehouse, which are listed on a bid currently posted online. Once has bid ended, vehicles must be paid for before the keys are released.

The description of property offered for sale has been compiled from available data, and there is no guarantee or warranty on the part of State Surplus Property Agency as to number, condition, or quality of property offered. Vehicles may have problems not listed.

Vehicles sold by the State Surplus Property Agency may not pass a state inspection. All surplus items are sold "as-is, where-is".

No, all auctions are open to the general public.

We have titles for all government vehicles we sell. The titles will only be issued to the person whose name appears on the bid. Titles will not be issued to any other person.

No, it can only be titled to a name on the account. In the future should you wish the vehicle titled to a company you will need to request an edit to your account. You will need to provide your IRS confirmation letter.

No, we title vehicles in the exact name of the winning bidder at the time of award. Please make sure your name is an exact match to your driver’s license. 

No, the price is not negotiable.

No, you must obtain a license plate or temporary tag from the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles after the vehicle has been paid for.

Vehicles cannot be moved. However, they can be started in place. Should a vehicle have a dead battery, our staff will be glad to assist you for a reasonable amount of time with a jump-start.
