Re: Lowering of North Carolina flags beginning immediately on April 27 in honor of Sgt. Meggan Lee Callahan

Gov. Roy Cooper today confirmed all North Carolina flags at state facilities should remain lowered to half-staff in tribute to Sgt. Meggan Lee Callahan, who was killed last week while at work at Bertie Correctional Institution.

Flags should be returned to full-staff at sunset on Thursday. Callahan had served with the N.C. Department of Public Safety since 2012. She lived in Edenton.
