Your Mail Service Center

What We Do

The Mail Service Center delivers letters and packages each weekday to state and local agencies throughout North Carolina processing more than 8.7 million items annually. The division was created in 1999 streamlining mail services to and from state government agencies by reducing delivery time and cost. The Mail Service Center handles an average of 2,700 letters and packages daily using MSC to deliver mail to state agencies within Wake County and State Courier Service for deliveries to state and local agencies in other counties. They also process and deliver all non-governmental mail and packages going to/from state agencies via the U.S. Postal Service or one of the commercial courier services.

State Courier Service (outside Wake Co.)

Use State Courier addresses to mail letters/packages to government agency locations across the state (in all NC counties except Wake). The Courier number is the official business mailing address for an agency when sending/receiving mail.

MSC Service (inside Wake Co.)

Use MSC addresses to mail all letters or packages to government agency locations within Wake County. The MSC number is the official business mailing address for an agency when sending/receiving mail.
