NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS: BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUEST
Barnhill Contracting Company has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by North Carolina State Ports Authority and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade and specialty contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment and tools for the Port of Wilmington Upgrades to the South Gate Complex project in Wilmington, NC
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work includes construction of a new 2 story 8,241 sf control building, premanufactured booths and canopies, Asphalt & Concrete Paving, and infrastructure for multiple locations of security and weighing of traffic in and out of the South Gate of NC Port of Wilmington. The civil work consists of development of an existing asphalt paved storage area, to a fully functional truck terminal, including site utilities, milling and asphalt paving along with concrete paving. The building consists of structural steel with slab on deck 2nd floor and Roof, with Modified Bit Roofing. The skin will be metal studs, sheathing, air barrier, masonry and insulated metal panels, including Curtainwall and Storefront windows. Interiors will be resilient, carpet, and ceramic tile flooring, drywall and acoustical ceilings, wood doors and hardware, casework, and signage. Landscaping consists of seeding/sod and irrigation. Final phase consisting of demolition of existing structures onsite, utility removal and asphalt patch back.

Additional Packages may be added and/or deleted at the discretion of the Construction Manager.
Certified HUB vendors/contractors participation is encouraged.
