The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (hereinafter “Department”) requires a Vendor to furnish and apply species-targeting herbicides on approximately forty (40) acres to control the non-native species (Eleagnus spp. and Lespedeza cuneata) on the Justice Tract at Deep River State Trail (near Moncure, NC). Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions of this IFB and any addenda issued hereto. Please view the attached document below for more details.

Instructions: Vendor representatives are URGED and CAUTIONED (as allowed under guidelines for compliance with social distancing requirements or other COVID-19 mitigation measures that may be initiated by State or local officials) to visit the site and apprise themselves of the conditions and requirements that will affect the performance of the work called for by this Invitation for Bid. 
It is the intention of the Department to schedule a single site visit on either Tuesday, 19 May 2020, or Wednesday, 20 May 2020. Prospective Vendors are encouraged to contact Department’s Division of Parks and Recreation Natural Resources Program Ecological Restoration Specialist Jimmy Dodson at 919-7967308 to coordinate a date and time for the Urged and Cautioned Site Visit. Mr. Dodson will determine a date and time for the site visit and will notify prospective Vendors who expressed interest in participating in the site visit of the exact date and time. Note that site visit participants will be required to practice social distancing of a minimum of six (6) feet and are encouraged to wear masks as specified by State and Local COVID-19 directives. Submission of a bid shall constitute conclusive evidence of Vendor’s understanding of the purpose and significance of this site visit, and no allowance will be made for unreported conditions that a prudent Vendor would recognize as affecting the performance of the work called for in this bid. 
Vendor is cautioned that any information released to attendees during the site visit(s), other than that involving the physical aspects of the property, and which conflicts with, supersedes, or adds to requirements in this Invitation for Bid, must be confirmed by written addendum before it can be considered as a part of this bid.
