Lowering U.S. and NC Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski Sunrise to sunset August 4, 2022

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half staff sunrise to sunset on August 4, 2022 in honor of U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski from Indiana, who was, along with two congressional aides, killed in a car accident Wednesday. 

Statement from Governor Roy Cooper
“We are saddened to hear about the passing of U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski and two of her staff members. Our prayers are with all of their loved ones,” said Governor Roy Cooper.

Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are also encouraged to fly flags at half-staff for the duration of time indicated.
