U.S. and NC Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Former NC Senator Stan Bingham Beginning immediately until sunset October 28, 2022

A native of Winston-Salem, former North Carolina Senator Stan Bingham represented Davidson and Guilford Counties as senator from 2001 to 2016.

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to half-staff immediately until sunset Friday, October 28 in honor of former North Carolina Republican Senator Stan Bingham who passed away today. A native of Winston-Salem, Bingham represented Davidson and Guilford counties as senator from 2001 to 2016. Prior to this role, he served on the Davidson County Board of Commissioners from 1990 to 1994.

“Senator Bingham was a hard working and thoughtful public servant who diligently represented the people of his district in addition to all of his other community efforts to improve the lives of others.”

Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are also encouraged to fly flags at half-staff for the duration of time indicated.
