In honor of those who served, Governor Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday, July 27 for National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day.

In support of Governor Roy Cooper’s Workforce Development Initiative and to promote more women in STEM-related fields, North Carolina Department of Administration’s (DOA) Secretary Machelle Sanders will visit and tour Pitt Community College’s Pharmaceutical Services Center and Walter & Marie

In addition to the United States flags, Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff until sunset on July 3, 2018, in honor of the victims of the shooting at the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland.

Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff until sunset on June 29, 2018 in honor of Rocky Mount Senior Police Officer Christopher Driver who died in the line of duty on Saturday.

By official proclamation, Governor Roy Cooper declares June 14, 2018 as Flag Day. As such he urges all Americans to display the flag of the United States of America in honor of our country, its history and its people.
