If you are a woman, minority, or disabled business owner in the Rowan County or surrounding area, please join the City of Salisbury, NC HUB Office, and NC DOT / DBE Office to learn about the requirements and process to apply for certification.  Certification will allow you to bid on government contracts and have access to additional resources to help promote your business.  Many state government contract opportunities contain participation goals for Historically Underutilized Businesses (minority, disabled and woman-owned businesses).

This workshop will include:

  • An in-depth review of the NC Electronic Vendor Portal, the HUB certification application process and state spending goals
  • An overview of the NC DOT certification types and  application processes for both federal and state projects
  • Answers to the most common application questions
  • Guidance on how to use these resources as business development tools
  •  Information about how to grow and market your business to government agencies
