An amendment template is now available to assist agencies with amending contracts that were affected by Session Law 2023-134, which went into effect as of October 3, 2023, and provides revisions to North Carolina General Statute § 143-49 Powers and duties of Secretary.
Any contract awarded by the state, and departments, agencies, and institutions of the state, on or after October 3, 2023, must contain this language.
All contracts awarded on or after October 3, 2023 that do not contain the latest version of the North Carolina General Terms and Conditions must be amended to include this language. The intent of the new amendment template is to assist entities with drafting amendments for these contracts.
The amendment template can be found in the Documents section of the Procurement Information Portal, within the Strategic Sourcing Documents folder, in the Contract Administration and Monitoring Forms folder.
Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the North Carolina General Terms and Conditions in all solicitations and contracts going forward.
