U.S. and NC Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of Wake County Sheriff's Office Deputy Ned Byrd

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to half-staff in honor of Wake County Sheriff's Office Deputy Ned Byrd who was killed in the line of duty overnight.

U.S. and NC Flags to Remain at Half-Staff in Honor of Wayne County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Matthew Fishman

Governor Roy Cooper is extending the half-staff order for all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities  in honor of Wayne County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Matthew Fishman. Beginning today through sunset August 9, all flags are to remain at half-staff. Services for Sgt.

Lowering U.S. and NC Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half staff sunrise to sunset on August 4, 2022 in honor of U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski from Indiana, who was, along with two congressional aides, killed in a car accident Wednesday.

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to remain lowered to half-staff through sunset July 10, 2022 in memory of Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, who was assassinated while giving a speech on Friday.
