Re: Lowering of United States and North Carolina Flags in Tribute to Soldier Killed

Governor Roy Cooper today ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered immediately to half-staff in tribute to the victims and their families of the 9-11 tragedy.

Sixteen years ago, 9/11 first responders made heroic sacrifices that will live on in our hearts and minds forever. Today, we remember the thousands of innocent victims who were hurt or lost their lives, and we remember those who stepped up at a moment’s notice to help their fellow Americans. We pay tribute today to the victims and families of this tragic event.
