In a proclamation signing, Governor Roy Cooper declared October 16 – 22, 2022 as National Business Women’s Week, recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of women in North Carolina’s public and private sectors.

All U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities are to remain at half staff in honor of the innocent lives lost in the tragedy in East Raleigh's Hedingham neighborhood last week. Flags are to remain lowered until sunset Sunday, October 23. 
 

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to half-staff in honor of the victims killed yesterday in East Raleigh. Five people were killed and two others injured during a shooting Thursday evening near the Hedingham neighborhood.
 

Governor Roy Cooper proclaimed October 2022 as Minority Enterprise Development Month to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of North Carolina minority businesses, corporations, and financial institutions.
