Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state buildings, facilities and grounds to be lowered to half-staff immediately through sunset on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 to honor the victims of the Virginia Beach, Virginia tragedy on May 31, 2019.

As a sign of respect for the sacrifices of our armed services personnel, Governor Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff on Monday, May 27 until 12 noon in honor of Memorial Day.
