Flag Alert: Lowering of United States and North Carolina Flags in Honor of Orange Rural Fire Department Assistant Chief Jeff Holden

Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all United States and North Carolina flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff until sunset on August 18, 2018 in honor of fallen firefighter Jeff Holden of the Orange Rural Fire Department. Holden, an assistant chief for the department, died Monday after completing a rescue call.
