As we pause to remember the life of former US Senator Bob Dole, today we also honor the more than 2,000 service members and civilians who died during the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities be lowered to half staff immediately until sunset, December 9, 2021 in honor of former US Senator Bob Dole, who passed away on Sunday. A member of the Republican Party, Dole represented Kansas in the U.S.
