Governor Roy Cooper ordered all U.S. and North Carolina flags at state facilities to half-staff beginning today until sunset on the day of interment in honor of Queen Elizabeth II who passed away today.

Governor Roy Cooper has proclaimed August 26 as Women’s Equality Day in North Carolina to honor women leaders across the state and encourage residents to support organizations that advocate for social progress and equity for women.

Youth councils, local governments and private or non-profit agencies with ideas for innovative programs to help North Carolina’s teens can now apply for grants up to $500 through the State Youth Council’s Mini Grant program.

Governor Roy Cooper ordered all North Carolina flags at state facilities to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on August 20, 2022, in honor of state employee Anna Bradshaw who died last Friday while helping clean up debris and divert traffic after a storm in Wilson, North Carolina.

Today, Governor Roy Cooper and North Carolina Department of Administration (NCDOA) Secretary Pamela B. Cashwell toured the new NCDOA Mail Service Center and viewed the new fleet of NCDOA electric vans that are used for mail delivery.
