Getting your new tag
- Pick up your new parking hang tag on the dates designated for your deck/lot. Stop by the Albemarle Building on any of the days listed for your parking area to pick up your tag.
- Bring your work badge for identification when picking up your tag. Do NOT bring your current parking tag.
- Continue parking in your assigned space. Continue using your old tag until the new tags become effective. Your assigned parking space will not change.
- Watch for more announcements from your agency parking coordinator to know when the new tags become effective for your deck/lot. The new tag will be used both to enter and exit your assigned parking area.
- Check this website for the latest on changes to the parking system.
Each lot/deck will have a designated week to pick up their new hang tags. Only come to pick up your tag on your designated days. On those days, parking staff will be available throughout the workday for employees to stop by the Albemarle Building at their convenience. Your deck/lot's specific days and times will be shared with agency parking coordinators and are posted on this website in the section above.

Employees who are on approved leave and cannot pick up a new parking tag during their designated phase may schedule an appointment with State Parking after December 11.
While there have been discussions about switching most employee decks and lots to unreserved parking, NO DECISIONS have been made. Unreserved parking would allow the vast majority of employees to park in the space of their choice in their assigned lot; spaces would be available on a first come, first served basis. Again, no decisions have been made on this: watch this space for more information.
