How do state agencies, local government, and schools obtain state surplus property in response to current public health emergency?

How do state agencies, local government, and schools obtain state surplus property in response to current public health emergency?

On March 30, 2020, Governor Roy Cooper signed Executive Order No. 122 to help schools and local governments access state surplus property to help bridge gaps during the response to COVID-19. The Order also provides transfer or donation of items that state government may have and not need.

You may view items available throughout North Carolina on the Division of State Surplus Property's priority classifieds page. If you find items that will assist your state agency, local government or public school system in response to the public health emergency, please contact the owning agency or State Surplus Property at ssp.info@doa.nc.gov and request permission to transfer. The no-cost transfer/donation approval template can be accessed here.
